EMC testing is the biggest step in CE-marking electronics, and the one products fail first. EcoComply scopes your EMC standards, coordinates the accredited-lab emissions and immunity testing, and delivers the technical file and Declaration of Conformity as part of our fixed-price CE marking service.
You know your product needs EMC testing for CE marking. But which standards apply, which tests you need, and what it will cost are rarely clear upfront.
Hourly billing with no visibility. The invoice keeps growing and you never know the final cost.
Back-and-forth with consultants, labs, and regulators. Your product launch gets delayed again and again.
Which EMC standard applies: EN 55032, EN 55035, the EN IEC 61000 series? What immunity tests do you need? You shouldn't need an RF engineer to find out.
From upload to EMC compliance in 4 clear steps.
Product specs, BOMs, datasheets, existing test reports. Whatever you have.
Our experts determine which EMC standards apply to your product and its environment (EN 55032/55035, the EN IEC 61000 series) and what emissions and immunity testing is required.
We prepare your complete technical file, Declaration of Conformity, and supporting evidence.
We coordinate the emissions and immunity testing with accredited EU labs, then turn the reports into your technical file and Declaration of Conformity.
EMC is handled inside our fixed-price CE marking service. The €3,800 covers the full CE marking; EMC lab testing is billed separately, at cost.

Quick answers to the most common EMC testing questions
Is EMC testing required for CE marking?
For virtually all electrical and electronic products, yes. The EMC Directive 2014/30/EU applies, and conformity is shown by testing against the harmonised EMC standards. It is usually the largest single testing step in CE marking.
What EMC standards apply to my product?
It depends on the product type and its intended environment. Multimedia and IT equipment typically use EN 55032 for emissions and EN 55035 for immunity; many products also need EN IEC 61000-3-2/-3-3 for mains harmonics and flicker, or the generic EN IEC 61000-6 series. Our free assessment confirms the exact list.
Do I need a Notified Body for EMC?
Usually not. The EMC Directive uses Module A (internal production control), so if you test to the harmonised standards in full you can self-declare without a Notified Body. A Notified Body is only involved if you do not fully apply the harmonised standards and use the technical-documentation route instead.
How much does EMC testing cost?
It varies a lot by product, so we scope it per product rather than quote a flat figure. A simple device tested to one emissions standard sits at the low end; a multi-port or wireless product needing full immunity testing and re-tests costs more. Lab testing is billed separately, at cost, and our CE marking service fee is a flat €3,800 per product on top.
What if my product fails EMC testing?
We identify the exact failure points, often emissions from switching power supplies, cabling or grounding, and work with you to resolve them. Re-testing coordination is included, and our upfront scoping minimises the risk of surprise failures.
